If you need a super fast to set up, low-mess easy christmas crafts for toddlers to keep little hands busy, this one is a total win. It uses supplies you probably already have, takes under 5 minutes to set up, and toddlers love that they get to crinkle, wrap, and shake their own “jingle bell.”

This was a big hit in our house because my 3-year-old was very into wrapping her little “present cup” and proudly hung the finished bell on the tree.

How to Make the Foil Christmas Bells
1. Cut Your Foil Squares
Cut pieces of aluminum foil into squares large enough to wrap completely around a plastic medicine cup. They don’t have to be perfect — toddlers love the texture and sound no matter what.
2. Wrap the Cups
Show your child how to place the cup upside down on the foil and gently wrap the foil around it.Then let them do it on their own! This is the fun part.
3. Create the Hanging Loop
Once the bell is wrapped, you’ll need to make a small hole at the top. I used scissors to carefully poke a hole in the foil and cup.
Thread both ends of a pipe cleaner up through the hole and twist them together to make a loop. This becomes the hanger for your bell.
4. Admire the bell!
That’s it. You’ve got a shiny little Christmas bell your toddler made all on their own. Hang it on the tree, loop it onto a doorknob or gift it. You can make as many as medicine cups you have around the house. We have tons floating around!
